Man, 40, charged with shooting man in the hand on Syracuse’s South Side

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man has been charged with shooting a 28-year-old man in the hand on the South Side, police said.
Preston Crouch, 40, was arrested and charged Thursday with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of stolen property, according to a criminal complaint filed in Syracuse city court.
On Wednesday, Crouch intentionally shot a man on Wednesday at 210 Lincoln Ave. with a Hi-Point model C9 9mm handgun, police said in court papers. The handgun was found with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine, they said.
